DP not working

Just got a new 5700XT. I used to have an rx 480 with a dual monitor setup. I could never get the display ports working on it but was able to run both monitors off HDMI, however new card only has one HDMI output with the rest being DP. Now i cant get the display ports working on new card as well. I have done the first steps of troubleshooting(checking connections, power cycling monitor, fresh drivers, etc) any help would be appreciated thanks!

That may sounds like silly question but did you tried plugging in the dp cable opposite way? Believe me I did came across before situation where that actually was the problem.

   @Whiro tag or quote will do the trick
