So i have a new firecuda i plan on installing later tonight, however, my system already has an SSD ive been using. This will be the first piece of hardware ive installed into my PC personally and wanted to know if i still need to format the drive, or if its just plug and play...

If it doesn't show up in Explorer right away then open up Disk Management and you can initialize or create a partition or volume or whatever else may need to be done.  But I believe it will be a simple plug and play install.
