Help! I just got a new 1660 and my computer says that the computer isn’t getting enough power. I currently have a Thermaltake TR2 powering a Ryzen 7 8 core, a 1050 ti, 2 sticks of 8 gb ddr4 ram, 1 256 sad and 1 terabyte of storage. What do i need to upgrade my power supply to?? (Btw the 1660 will replace the 1050 ti)

The Thermaltake TR2 is listed as "Tier D - Potentially dangerous, but only in specific situations" so you could just be running into a low quality psu issue. I would recommend 600W  in teir b+ or higher from the PSU Teir list linked below. This should leave a generous amount of power headroom for overclocking/upgrades without being way too overkill.

Where does it say this?

The Thermaltake TR2 430W is very old and very crappy. You should replace it.

How much money do you have to spend on the new power supply?

It’s their thermal a good choice or should I choose a different brand that is better tier?

Most of Thermaltake's budget PSU's are garbage and should be avoided. They have a few high end PSUs that are pretty good, but generally there's other stuff from other brands that are similarly priced and better options.

For the 1660 you should only require one PCIe cable. You will need one 8pin EPS12V for CPU power. Plus SATA connectors for however many hard drives/SSDs you have. You may also need extra SATA or Molex power connectors for any fan hubs, RGB hubs, etc that you might have.

A decent 450-550W power supply will be fine for your system. The Corsair CX450 is currently on sale for $50 at Newegg.

CPU: Intel i7 6700k  | Motherboard: Gigabyte Z170x Gaming 5 | RAM: 2x16GB 3000MHz Corsair Vengeance LPX | GPU: Gigabyte Aorus GTX 1080ti | PSU: Corsair RM750x (2018) | Case: BeQuiet SilentBase 800 | Cooler: Arctic Freezer 34 eSports | SSD: Samsung 970 Evo 500GB + Samsung 840 500GB + Crucial MX500 2TB | Monitor: Acer Predator XB271HU + Samsung BX2450

I was looking at the suggestion you gave me and it doesn't fit the dimensions of my computer. I was looking at the cooler master MWE 550 Bronze -V2. It fits the dimensions of 140 x 150 x 86mm. Is this a good replacement?

They both have the same dimensions.
