I really hate when companies add more steps in to their UI.  Or taking away features that are really good.

STEAM CHAT is the latest and listed last in my post.  The first change that pissed me off but I don't have a before screenshot off, is the google camera app.  It was already crappy but reacently they put an extra step in the UI to get to the timer, flash, hdr, ect.  But most eagerest the changes to the camera resolution settings. They removed a whole host of sizes in favor of a boolen toggle between 4k and 1080.  The same for pictures, now its just full resolution and medium resolution.  Granted I only used full rez, but still the fact that settings that are not harmful to the UI experience are being taken away is BS.  It just pisses me off.  It sucks too cus all the other camera apps, just don't do as good of a job as the native app for the phone.

@youtube #youtube studio This latest update is terrible. Under the three bars menu you used to be able to change your account along with the channel. This could be done in two clicks. The new update, and this is not reflected in the pictures on this page, now requires u to click your profile picture. From there, it brings up another page where you have to click another profile picture. Then a second window opens where you can finally select your account. We go from two clicks to three clicks for no reason.

Im not a big fan of ui changes either. Its why im never really upset the samsung takes so long to get android updates.

But complaining that it went from 2 clicks to 3 clicks.....is kinda asinine.

I don't know. I'm really irritated that in Win7 when I want to change my audio settings (Which I have to do to re-enable surround sound every time Nvidia crashes) I can just right click on the speaker icon and click on Playback devices and have immediate access to literally anything and everything I'd need.

Doing it in Win 10, I have to right click the speaker, open the options window, wait for that shit to open and load, then try and figure out which of the non-descriptive text buttons opens the same fucking panel so I can change my shit. Which opens instantly and has every thing you'd possibly need in a more compact and easier to use interface.

Win10 is full of that, everything is hidden behind a layer of obfuscation that wasn't before. UI in general is going to a "modern minimalist" look that takes way more space, longer to load, and shows less information. It used to be good UI design that pretty much everything be available in one to two clicks, and now it's just layer after layer so they can keep their stupid home page clean.

I totally agree, they did that with the networking panel too.  I wish windows would remember the correct sound settings in the first place.  When a new sound device is plugged in or out it will try and change the default sound device to something else.

Ehh, I'm running HDMI out from my GPU to my AVR. I guess I could blame Windows, but I blame Nvidia. It only resets itself to low quality stereo when the GPU driver crashes. With Win7 being deprecated and MS advertising that they're putting a big fullscreen "DON'T USE WIN7 ANYMORE" pop-up, I set up a dual boot with Win10 and I really just kind of hate it, privacy shit aside everything about it is just immensely less useful than how it is in Win7.

The start menu for example, in Win7 I can just pin things I frequent to the list without defaulting to the long list of shit installed (Most of which on my Win10 install is MS garbage I don't want.) Also, the list of installed stuff is immensely easier to navigate and shows more results on Win7.

If I want to pin stuff in Win10, it has to be a big fucking dumbass tile. I hate that. And when I hit Start and type to search on my PC it shows me internet results. Get the fuck out of here with that shit. If I want to search the internet I'll open a browser. It's not that hard.

I also hate that the windows toolbars are exactly the same color with no delineation, so when I try and drag a window to another monitor I don't click in the toolbar because it's all pure white.

It's like they weren't even thinking when they designed the shit, because any time you try and do something "in depth" it just pops up the same old windows from Win7 that work better in a more obvious way.
