Laptop Recommendations

Hi, I would like a recommendation for a new recreational laptop. I have been using a Thinkpad for quite some time, and I believe that I am due for an upgrade. I am currently using a Thinkpad Yoga 260, and while it is a fantastic device, I would like to have some upgrades in terms of power.

 

Usage:

1. Photo editing (Photoshop)
2. Gaming (mainly Android emulation, with a sprinkling of 3DS)
3. Casual streaming
4. Netflix/Youtube and chill

 

Budget: 

 

Up to 1000 US dollars, can go beyond if necessary.

 

Why:

I would like a new laptop and would rather have some educated opinions from other people before buying one.

 

Programs I usually run:

1. Discord
2. Android emulators (Nox, Mumu, etc.)
3. Adobe Photoshop (hobby, not professionally)
4. Steam
5. League of Legends
6. OBS

 

Need to have:

1. Durability. I don't mean durability like a tank, but decent build quality as to where it won't die on me after a year.
2. Longevity. I'd rather not drop a thousand dollars only for it to brick on me after a few months of use.
3. Preferably something that won't be melting on my desk.

Not really necessary:

1. RGB. Fancy colors are nice, but I'd rather not pay a premium for LEDs.
2. Great keyboard + trackpad. I have a mouse and keyboard, so it's not a big deal if the keyboard or trackpad are bad. 
3. Thin ultra slim super sleek device. Performance over aesthetics, I don't mind if a laptop looks ugly and weighs twenty pounds, as long as it does its job. Appearance isn't a deal breaker as far as I'm concerned.
4. Webcam. I don't think I've ever used a webcam, let alone needed one.
