Powered stereo speakers

So my Mackie CR3's just broke. I noticed one day that only one was working, fiddling with a switch at the back (for selecting weather the speaker is on your right or left) solved it. Then the problem became more frequent and yesterday while watching a movie they just started buzzing, no actual sound comes out just a constant buzzing sound at all volumes and inputs.

 

Now I'm looking to replace them with something similar or better for around 300€. I want two speakers that are powered (i don't have an amp and don't want one), an RCA input would be preferred since the source is a 3.5" jack. Not sure if important but this is for home use only -  gaming, listening to music, movies....

 

Any help would be appreciated since I don't follow speaker reviews - even just pointing me at good brands to look for would be fine.

Not sure if it is the best, but i have the Bose Companion 20 and i think they're pretty good.
