After installing Windows 10, the first thing I did was install the driver for my Geforce RTX 2080 Super from NVIDIA.com. I then went to download the drivers for my motherboard, and noticed that it had a VGA driver listed. Am I right in assuming that I shouldn't install this?

The manufacturers websites often have old drivers.  My gtx970 has one from 2017 as the most recent.

Not a pro, not even very good.  I’m just old and have time currently.  Assuming I know a lot about computers can be a mistake.

Guessing you have integrated video card on your motherboard. I personally would still install it but I don't really think it matter as your not using it.

So if I did go ahead and install it, it wouldn't replace the NVIDIA driver that I already installed? Sorry if that's a dumb question (It's my first build). I also have a Rog Maximus XI Hero motherboard.

If I understand correctly the driver for the rog hero board is for the intel igpu in your cpu which makes it intel not Nvidia
