Yes. Why would you have a non-k cpu with a z87 motherboard though?

I don't plan on overclocking, you know that ;) and please people, stop yelling at me that I bought a Z87 and I don't want to overclock...

then just use stock cooler and save some money

agreed or look to the cooler master 212 coolers. either the D14 or the 212 will do

the same in cooling temperature-wise, but the 212 will have less interference issues

(RAM/case), cost less, easier to maintain (clean).
