I have a JP PS2 purely so I can play JP PS2 games without modifying my other PS2. I think they removed region lock for gaming on PS3 though, but I still kinda thought about it because it is a different Blu-ray video region. Never did it though.

i have mine with rebug on it so that i can play my pal ps2 games without any issues since the european 60 gb is half software half hard ware vs 20 gb full hardware.
