Picking Lan Card How?

Hello all, does anyone has any clue on how to pick a Lan Card, my onboard z97 gaming 9 ack ethernet which is the Killer E2200 ethernet controller seems to be having issues due to it randomly disconnecting. I checked if its the wall socket issue or my ISP using a switch but it wasn't. So here I am trying to find a new Lan Card but i have no idea what to pick.

If its just for a general purpose/gaming PC running Windows then just whatever is gigabit in your budget and available in your area. 

TP-Link & Netgear are generally quite cheap and widely available.

Adding to Jarsky's statement Intel makes well regarded 1Gbit NICs as well. Any modern one should work fine for general purpose applications. Windows will likely have a pre-installed driver for it as well.
