Freesync and Concern

I have one question and one thing i and concerned about. Question: What does freesync do if i am correct its a thing to match your gpu spec yes? kinda like that? Concern: I have 2 monitors one is MSI 24 curved 1ms 144hz and i have a 60hz samsung something it's old, I was wondering if having freesync on will be worth it or affect anything at all by the other monitor. Note: The MSI is is on the Display Port and the Samsung one is HDMI MSI is main

freesync tells the monitor to hold the frame, resulting in smoother video with no tearing. there is a small bit of lag I've never noticed though.

match GPU spec? No it doesn't, you cant turn a RX 550 to Vega 64 just because you have CF (if that's what you mean). All it does is linking up monitor's refresh rate to your frame rate when frame rate is not higher than refresh rate.
