so for some reason my last 2 slots of memory wont wont with my ram and asus says they are probaly broken and to just used the first 2 memory slots. Is there anything bad about using the first 2 slots as i know you are supposed to use every other slot after you skip 1 for the cpu.

If you use the first 2 slots then you will only use single channel which may have a significant performance impact depending on what platform you use.

Definitely return the motherboard if it's within warranty.
