My first ever build was with a Intel i5-2600

I want to turn it into something that can play 1080p 60hz or maybe even 120hz.

It has no graphics card and only 4gb of ram. I already have an SSD ready for it. What upgrades do I need to make to get it to 1080p 60hz? What would I need for 120hz?

Settings either on high or medium for each game. Most intense game will probably be Call of Duty Modern Warfare.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

i7 2600 or i5 2500?

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 10 and Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

How many watts do I needATX 3.0 & PCIe 5.0 spec, PSU misconceptions, protections explainedgroup reg is bad

My bad, I have a i5 2500

What would you recommend I do?

Cheap i7 models for this generation are very common, or cheap Xeons even. 4 cores and 8 threads makes a huge difference over 4 cores and 4 threads, and then toss in an RX 580 off eBay and you'd be set.

What would I need to get 120hz or is that not something I should even expect from this machine?

In AAA titles I wouldn’t count on getting anything much more than 60fps, for some less demanding games, e-sport titles you can get 120fps most likely
