Audio Level is lowering slowly over time (during a single recording session)

I've been using a Rode NT1-A with a Behringer Xenyx Q1002 for a couple of years but have never managed to have a good and consistent experience whilst recording audio. I use Adobe Audtion to record voice overs for videos and occasionally record directly into Premiere.

Lately the audio recording has been starting great but the audio level slowly lowers over time to nearly nothing. (in a specific example, I was recording for around 25 mins with the audio sounding perfect for the first 2 minutes then it slowly started to lower, dropping from around -9db to -34db.) I have had other recording issues in the past but this is my current obstacle which might miraculously solve itself at any point.

I'm now sure if it's a hardware issue or a software issue but I have had no luck and would be open to advise and opinions. It could be my Laptop which is getting old and has multiple software and hardware issues.

Thanks in advance. (Image Attached)
