XMP not working?

So I got a pc in around june/july, and I know that ryzen likes fast memory. I only got 3000mhz but anyway, I only remembered to set it to 3k today. I set it to 3k and it was great, I was seeing a nice boost in overwatch. But after like 10 mins, it just crashed. Also other things like opera were running weirdly, like something might be laggy or close. I restarted my pc and did all the usual stuff, but nothing. I put it back to 2133, but I wanna know why the advertised speed does not work.

Specs:

Ryzen 5 1600

Stock cooler

Asrock steel legend b450 atx

corsair vengeance white lpx 3000mhz

rx 590

120gb ssd

1tb hdd

650w corsair vengeance psu

fractal design meshiify c white tg

The R5 1600x is only rated to 2667Mhz according to AMD's spec sheet on it.

I thought it was Ryzen 2xxx series that were 3200mhz rated... with the first gen only being a little more than the stock 2133mhz.

Even then it can often be a bit of a lottery... my R5 2600X on an Aorus Pro B450 won't run my 3200mhz Corsair Vengeance stable at anything over 3000mhz.

System 1: Gigabyte Aorus B450 Pro, Ryzen 5 2600X, 32GB Corsair Vengeance 3200mhz, Sapphire 5700XT, 250GB NVME WD Black, 2x Crucial MX5001TB, 2x Seagate 3TB, H115i AIO, Sharkoon BW9000 case with corsair ML fans, EVGA G2 Gold 650W Modular PSU, liteon bluray/dvd/rw.. NO RGB aside from MB and AIO pump. Triple 27" Monitor setup (1x 144hz, 2x 75hz, all freesync/freesync 2)

System 2: Asus M5 MB, AMD FX8350, 16GB DDR3, Sapphire RX580, 30TB of storage, 250GB SSD, Silverstone HTPC chassis, Corsair 550W Modular PSU, Noctua cooler, liteon bluray/dvd/rw, 4K HDR display (Samsung TV)

System 3 & 4: nVidia shield TV (2017 & 2019) Pro with extra 128GB samsung flash drives.
