100% functional GPU does not work in X570 system

Hello, 

i just finished building my new PC with an AMD 3800X, an AsRock X570 MB, and a 2070s FE. When i first tryed to boot the system i had no video output. i swapped in an old Radeon HD 4800 and now i can boot normally. I tested my new 2070s in a different System aswell, where it worked just fine.

Did anyone had this problem before, or knows a solution?

You could try setting the PCIE slots to Gen 3 instead of Gen 4 in the BIOS. This is sometimes necessary.

IIRC there was a bug with older BIOS versions (that your board may have shipped with) that can cause PCIE Gen 3 cards not to work when the slot is set to Gen 4. As Skiiwee29 said, try setting the slots to Gen 3 speeds and/or update your BIOS.

Thanks for you suggestion, sadly it did not help, i still get no signal out of my 2070s. I even tryed different BIOS versions with no succes.

you could try in the system it works in to flash the VBIOS on it and see if that helps.

Try using a different cable if you have one. I think your old card doesn’t use HDMI or DisplayPort like the new one does, so the cable is another point of failure here.
