RAM issues

I need help. my system runs windows 10 and using 24GB (2x4GB + 2x8GB) but half of it goes to hardware reseve and it wont run in their rated speed. plus there is this weird problem of it not knowing the form factor of the ram installed. I already when to the BIOS and enable XMP and already tried to use the msconfig method for the hardware issus but it nothing changes :(

 

pc specs:

cpu - Ryzen 5 2600
ram - T-Force Delta RGB 2666mhz (two 4GB sticks and two 8GB sticks)

mobo - Gigabyte Aorus B450M

For the hardware reserved issue, have you tried booting with less ram to see what changes?

 

Also, use different software to verify ram speed, task manager doesn't always get it right.

I didn’t even know it was possible to run different ram sizes like that.  I can see all sorts of stuff going wonky from that alone.

Its defaulted to 2400Mhz, which I assume is the base JEDEC setting of the RAM. 

 

XMP probably doesn't work when you have different capacities of RAM

just to mention this issue is new. a few months ago thet were running in 2666mhz and everything was fine. only notice this problem after I swap my pc case and did a full check on everthing

well rip. after taking part my pc. turns out one of the 8GB sticks are faulty. tested each ram in dual channel and its worked fine with the 2x4...

 

hope the "life time" warrenty on the T-Force delta are true and i can get a replacement
