I just purchased a new m.2 ssd on black friday deals. I inserted it all and decided to do a fresh install of windows on it. I used my usb and booted from it as usual like ive done a million times before. Created a new partition on the drive and installed windows on it. it worked fine and then the pc restarted, back to the usb :(. I restarted and selected to boot from the ssd. i get the error of couldnt find boot device. I tried reinstalling windows 10 tool on the usb, unplugging the usb soon as the install finishes etc. cant seem to get anything to work :( any ideas? help would be muchhhh appreciated. spent loads on a 1tb ssd and i cant get it to work ahahaha

Check BIOS settings for an option to enable UEFI/GPT boot devices. You can also look into the boot order and see if you need to enable it first. I had that issue with one of my builds where I had to disable other drives in the boot order before the OS drive became available.

Im pretty sure the uefi/gpt is all enabled. i will check though. but i ensured that every other boot option was disabled. the only one that was enabled was the ssd. and it just gives me the boot device not found error

If it's set to UEFI/GPT only, you can also try setting it to UEFI and Legacy/MBR to see if it will allow you to boot then.

ill have a nosey in the bios now and just fiddle with those settings. i remember seeing a setting that was something weird. like if you have windows 8 etc then you can turn it off/on. let me try some stuff to do with that and if not ill take pics to see if im missing something. thanks
