First Desktop Build (Code name: Black Ghosts)

First desktop build! Ended up getting this desktop for free from my father's work place. Believe it is a stock build with the tag on the back of the case and stock Intel motherboard. It has a i7-3770, 1 stick of Corsair Vengeance ddr3 1600MH 8gb, Ultra 600w ATX psu (model no: ULT-LS600), 500gb hdd, and a Corsair case with a huge fan on top! Not too shabby for a free rig and planing on buying a gtx-1060 6gb mini in the next week or so. Never really built a computer of sorts so kinda posting on this thread to see what kind of advice i could get about building this thing up a little. I am currently going to college so I don't really have too much of a budget outside of getting this gpu I have picked out. Also getting a ssd in the near future as well just to help with loading times and such.

The peripherals that I have to go along with it is a pass-me-down monitor, another one that I bought for $20 with a HDMI out that will run 1920-1080p, some random dell usb keyboard that may have been stolen from a school at one point, and a Corsair M65 pro rgb.

Any and all criticism/advice towards this build would be awesome in making it better or proper.
