Hey peeps.

So i've bought a 240Hz 1440p monitor from Lenovo and it has G-sync ultimate (so it has a G-sync module inside the monitor).

i have one G-sync monitor already and i've had some issues with it.

But i'm curious if G-sync caps your fps to match the refreshrate of your monitor (so if i have 250 fps in csgo and i turn G-sync on it will lower my fps to 144),

or if it will just syncronize the frames up to 144 and then ignore the rest?

Currently on my monitor that's G-sync compatible my fps is still at 200+ on my 144Hz screen.

Is this a G-sync error.

Or is it me who misunderstands how this works, and if that's the case would it be beneficial for me to cap my fps on my 144Hz monitor to 144 fps so it won't go above the limit on my monitor

Anything i've written between the * and * is not meant to be taken seriously.

keep in mind that helping with problems is hard if you aren't specific and detailed.

i'm also not a professional, (yet) so make sure to personally verify important information as i could be wrong.
