We have gigabit fiber internet and currently have a nighthawk ac1900 and we still get very slow speeds. We pay so much for gigabit internet and don’t feel like we get all much from it. Unfortunately the house is old so there isn’t Ethernet in any rooms and it’s almost impossible to run Ethernet to anywhere in the house. What would be the best router to improve this? Is what I have good enough or would there be other ways to improve this? I’m just really tired of paying $130 a month for internet and only getting 30 down and 200-300 down when wired. Please help.

If the biggest problem is the actual Wifi-coverage, then I can suggest Ubiquity AmpliFi, this should make the Wifi so much stronger.

If you wish to have LAN, then that's going to be a problem, as you've already stated the same problem with the house being so old.

Would you recommend the amplifi over something like a couple unifi ac lite access points throughout the house if I can manage to get some Ethernet to other floors?
