sd card reader

I'm about to buy a new camera and realized my pc does not have an sd card slot. Is there a way i can get an sd card reader for my pc using pcie and not a usb stick.

Im going to be downloading large files and usb drives tend to be slow or overheat over long periods of time unless if there is a usb 3.2 usb sd card reader which i doubt.

You're still limited by the card itself.

You want one of these card readers. They support UHS-I and UHS-II and are USB 3.1 gen 2. Even downloading from two UHS-II cards with each card doing 290MB/s, that still doesn't max out the reader or the USB.

I regularly download a lot of GoPro footage so I've some UHS-II cards. They're not any faster in the GoPro, but they are much faster to download from.
