Hey folks,

So I just got finished putting together my new build, all appears to be going well from a hardware standpoint.  Everything is detected and seems to be functioning properly however...

First I had issues getting the nvidia drivers installed, 'incompatible version of windows' error.  Tried a few things, no  luck.  I then decided to remove the graphics card and see if I could at least get everything properly set up using just the intelHD graphics.  I ran into trouble there as well, attempting to install the drivers from my motherboard disc failed as did drivers downloaded directly from Intel.

Point of interest: All the other systems I've put together over the past decade or so automatically detected specific graphics solutions in device manager.  This build, for whatever reason doesn't seem to be doing this and only shows the basic microsoft display adapter with either the video card installed or just the CPU integrated graphics.

Any help would be greatly appreciated and I'll be more than happy to provide more information as requested.  In the meantime I'll probably try flashing the BIOS and re-installing Windows.

Windows 10 Pro, build 17xx(I think. Its current enough that drivers shouldn't be a problem, AFAIK only versions before build 1511 have issues).  I installed using a USB drive I created from the PC I'm currently using awhile back.  The OS on the new build is non-activated if that's a potential hangup (something I considered but disregarded after a couple of google searches).  I'll get a new key from MS on friday for activating the new build.

At my office (gov't agency) we ran across an issue with Intel drivers where this *was* an issue. The HD graphics driver wanted 1803 (IIRC) or better before it would install, despite what Intel says.

You can download, quite freely, win10 straight from MS, and I'd start with an up to date version first, see where that goes.

NOTE: I no longer frequent this site. If you really need help, PM/DM me and my e.mail will alert me.
