165hz Worth enabling ?

Go to solution Solved by SpookyCitrus,

It's honestly not really that noticeable from 144hz imo. I have the PG279Q and so far I've just kept it on 144hz. I'm not positive on the whole lifespan thing but I don't think it will be a problem if you use it. I know it's possible an OC could do that, but to me the difference between 144hz and 165hz is negligible and I don't think I'll ever even use the OC anyway, if it does degrade it faster it's more than likely only slightly faster, I doubt the strain of a 21hz OC will negatively impact the monitor anytime soon.

So it's no big deal, i was just wondering if enabling the 165HZ OC on my monitor is worth it. What i want to know is if its gonna reduce the life of my monitor or its not gonna make that much of a difference ? I have read that it will affect it so i was just wondering if i should enable it (Most of the game i play CAN reach 165hz so i twould be an upgrade) but if your telling me that its gonna reduce the lifespan by a big margin i'll just stick to the 144hz.

Moinitor : Asus ROG Swift PG278QR

Thanks :P
