Yes, CPU and GPU don't have any relationship when it comes to compatibility

 

Performance and bottlenecking is another topic though

You'll be fine. I just meant that in regards to compatibility, there's a balance. 

 

Like buying a cheapo AMD FX processor from 8 years ago and putting it with a 2080- that's a bad balance 

 

But you're fine with that card, minimal bottlenecking
