hello everyone so my son asked for a pc for christmas and I said I would go 400$ nothing more nothing because I don’t believe I should spend so much on his pc 

here are the parts 

EVGA 600 

inland professional 480gb ssd 

patriot memory viper 4 series 8gb 3000mhz dual channel 

MSI ProSeries AMD Ryzen 2ND and 3rd Gen AM4 M.2 USB 3 DDR4 D-Sub DVI HDMI Micro-ATX Motherboard (B450M PRO-VDH Max)

and a 

AMD Ryzen 5 3400G 4-core, 8-Thread Unlocked Desktop Processor with Radeon RX Graphics

 

is this good? the games he likes are minecraft csgo fortnite and rainbow six siege is this good for those games? I don’t want to buy something really bad

PSU is pretty crappy, get a CX450/550 instead.

Im with the mentaility of "IF IM NOT SURE IF ITS ENOUGH COOLING, GO OVERKILL"

Something like this. Though you might want check the motherboard compatibility for the CPU since some b450 boards arent flashed for third gen CPU.

 

That or you could actually buy some used components which will help a lot for a better performance

as stated above going a better psu would be worth it, also if you could increase the budget to $520 going from the 3400g with the igpu to a r5 2600 and rx570 as that will give better performance in almost every title, and if you can get used parts it would be even better, if you do plan to go the 3400g i would move to 16gb ram as the cpu uses some for the Vram so you might find 8gb isnt enough (from my knowledge)

agree on the one above me. you can get a RX570 or even RX 580 used just below $100. even the CPU and motherboard combo. or wait till black friday since every thing will drop its prices then.
