Usually if your PC doesn't get to the BIOS, the problem is hardware.

I would wager it's a random piece of metal that's in there; it's happened to me more than once. If you rebuild outside the case and everything works, just make sure you plug everything in and clear any debris when you build back into the case. Any modern motherboard has protection circuits that prevent it from dying if a random object shorts its components, though I'd still be careful not to cause them. Keep an eye on static discharge too - make sure you ground yourself before manipulating the computer.

Cheers!

ill list it down to be more concise

1. got a gtx1070ti - not sure if it works haven't tested. friend gave me 1 week warranty but seeing it at his house seems to work

2. so gtx 1070ti wont fit on my coolermaster case, friend gave me a full tower case

3. transferred everything but no bios appeared. fans turn on. cpu turned on. ethernet was blinking just no bios

4. realized I forgot my standoffs.

5. redid everything with standoffs but standoffs had a hard time going in my friends case idk why since he didn't have any spares.

6. now nothing works. fans wont even spin. nothing responds

7. redid everything put it back on my old case with my old gpu. PC turns on

can someone help?

Did you used DDU in order to remove previous drivers before plugging in the new 1070 ti?

sounds like a standoff or some debris was touching a trace, was probably messing with the signal. When you put all the parts on a cardboard box are you able to turn them on?

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 11 and Fedora Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

PSU tier list

How many watts do I need?

PSU misconceptions, protections explainedgroup reg is bad
