Hello,

Budget: $700-$900
Location: United States
Use: Light Gaming, Workstation, Light Development in Unity & Unreal, Streaming from PS4/Xbox with capture card
Peripherals Required: No (Will look at any recommendations in $100-$200 range)
Operating System: Windows 10

I have never built a PC before, but with Black Friday and Cyber Monday coming up i would like to get some deals.

I have researched AMD vs. Intel builds, and included what I came up with below:

Intel Build

Intel i5 6 Core 9400F (CPU)

MSI Geforce 1660S OC GTX(GPU)

ASRock MicroATX B450M Pro4 (Motherboard)

Corsair 16 GB DDR4 3200 Mhz (RAM)

Samsung 970 EVO 500GB 3500 Mb/s (SSD)

Evga 500 W (PSU)

DeepCool Gammax 120 mm (Cooling)

Cooler Master Q500L (Case)

TOTAL: $764.42

AFTER TAX: $814.59

AMD Build AMD Ryzen 5 2600 6 Core 12 Threads (CPU)

MSI Geforce 1660S OC GTX(GPU)

ASRock MicroATX B450M Pro4 (Motherboard)

Corsair 16 GB DDR4 3200 Mhz (RAM)

Samsung 970 EVO 500GB 3500 Mb/s (SSD)

Evga 500 W (PSU)

DeepCool Gammax 120 mm (Cooling)

Cooler Master Q500L (Case)

TOTAL: $737.11

AFTER TAX: $785.49

Looking for feedback on my parts, where i can improve, and what CPU would be better for my use of this system.

I actually like this a lot, and yes i did go with the W1 originally.

I will probably go with a 512 Gb SSD.

the W1 is a pretty crappy unit, it's only really okay for an office rig and even then i'd be skeptical about it working well.

512GB might be a bit tight so i left the 2TB HDD in.

Appreciate your insight.

I'll be sure to keep that in consideration.

I may just pick up a 1 TB HDD to backup and store files.

That or get a cheaper HDD, the Constellation ES was is an enterprise level drive, not as good looking like newer options because it was merely focused to performance but more reliable: https://www.amazon.com/Seagate-7200RPM-Cache-6-0Gb-Heavy-Duty/dp/B01K5XU966
