Controller to TV

Hello all.

This might sound a little weird, but I have a HDMI cable connecting my PC to my TV, because I wanted to try that instead of using Steam Link. The cable is pretty big and it goes through my house perfectly fine. The thing is since my PC is a little far from my living room, the controller connection is not the best. What I wanted to know is, is there a way I can connect the controller to my TV and make it control the PC just fine? I think not, but I don't lose anything by asking.
