Separate PSU cables for Graphics card?

So I have a Rtx 2070 super which has an 8 pin and a 6 pin connection. 

I have a corsair rmx 750 gold. And the Pcie cable that goes from the PSU to GPU has an 8 pin and a 6+2 coming from the same cable. 

So I can plug in to the GPU with one cable. 

 

Should I instead use an 8 pin cable and a separate 6 pin cable? (2 cables)

Either way works, With the 6+2, you can just not use the +2 on the cable and just tuck it away, OR you can use two separate cables to have a cleaner look. Either way.

From what I understand, it's best to use separate cables. I can tell you that with my Radeon VII, I don't use separate cables and when under full load, my system hard resets itself (I should really change that come to think of it).
