Buy a New CPU/Mobo or new Gaming Monitor?

OldManGaming

Hey guys, I am thinking about upgrading my pc.  Current specs

eVGA GTX 1080ti

I7 6700K

16GB ddr4 ram

h100i water cooler

750w psu

z170x mobo

250gb ssd boot

2tb sshd

2tb sata

Acer Predator 3440x1440 Ultrawide monitor

I am looking at either a new cpu, or a 144hz 1440p qled hdr monitor.

I like my 21:9, but the colors dont really "amaze" me.  I want that UHD jaw dropping picture quality you see on display models.  But also I wonder if my cpu should be the first to upgrade.

Help me decide please, which would you upgrade if this was your rig? Attaching a photo of my current setup.  Thanks

1. Budget & Location

$600 max

2. Aim

Gaming and movies/immersion

3. Monitors

2

4. Peripherals

n/a

5. Why are you upgrading?

Cyber Monday and money to burn.

That would fit in this mobo or will I need a new mobo too?  Also you would do the cpu over a better monitor?  And thanks for your time and feedback

Thanks.  Reason I was thinking a new monitor is because the Z35P colors are just "meh"  I love the screen size, but I want something that really pops out, like your cellphone does.  I love the monitor, but I was expecting more from the colors, and to be honest, aside from a slightly crisper picture, it doesnt look all that different from my HP 23es 1920x1080 60hz sitting next to it.
