Update BIOS?

I currently have a 1TB hdd where i have my os in a 300gb partition, and the rest is for general storage. Im planning to buy an M.2 ssd to put my os on, so i decided the best route to take was to do a fresh install of windows.

 

before i start this process is it important to update my BIOS?

u dont need to update bios just to swap a hdd, bios updates is mostly for hotfixes n stuff, and performance improvements/ stability improvements, if its stable u dont need to touch it
