So earlier today I got a prompt to update bios so I thought sure let that go whilst I'm working. However I totally forgot and restarted my pc (file.explorer kept freezing), now my pc won't post.

 Specs:

-i5 9600k

-gigabyte z370 board

-16gb ddr4 Corsair ram

-gtx 970

-seasonic 80+ bronze PSU

I have already tried resetting cmos with no luck.

Any suggestions appreciated. Thanks.

Some board, and I know Gigabyte ones have a dual bios setting, where you can restore from a backup copy, should the main one go bad. I'd check either the manual or the online manual, and see if your board has such a feature

It does not it's the z370p d3, i should have mentioned in my post.

If it did it would automatically boot with the back up I believe.

You mentioned to tried resetting the CMOS, did you just pull the battery, or did you short the jumper as well?
