Make sure that they run on same speed. The first stick needs to be the same speed as the second one. So disable XMP (if you put in on) and try then

Good suggestion... Also try one stick at a time to see which one is possibly faulty.

1) Thats untrue and DOCP will not work on an unmatched pair anyway.

2) They're clearly a matching pair/kit.

I just got a new pc and it worked with 1 ram stick but when I put the second one it won't post I have asus prime x570-p and ryzen 5 3600

Could be a faulty cpu or socket. Could also be a scratched/broken trace. Have you tried each stick individually in both sockets?

Please disregard my last post, I totally misunderstood your suggestion. My bad, sorry buddy.

*I thought you meant both sticks must be the same speed to work, my brain ignored the word RUNNING entirely until I read it again.

Neither stick will post in Slot 2? In that case its either damaged CPU or board.

If it post with one stick of RAM, i would update BIOS with the lastest one, then close PC, insert Ram sticks in DIMM_A2 and DIMM_B2 as per user manual, reset CMOS and see if it post. If it doesnt at least we can remove bad BIOS from the list.
