I own an RX580, XXX edition, though that seems irrelevant. I have an EliteDesk 800; it uses a proprietary HP PSU, which has no Molex connectors. So, I have no way to power my 100+ Watt monster. Enter my 500w EVGA! I've tripped my power pins, so that it'll actually boot. Now, I don't know very much about how the power flow works, but I do know one thing - I can't control my fan speed. Everything else works fine. I can increase my voltage, and I can overclock successfully. Why can't I control the fan speed? And in the long run, is running this externally a bad idea?
