Hey guys im hoping i can get some help from you all! My friend doesnt have any way of getting an ethernet cable in his room to get to his computer, ive never had such a problem so i dont really know what exactly he needs, i assume he needs like a wireless lan pci card or something like that so if you guys can clarify that is what he needs or correct me and suggest which product he should get that would be awesome! Thanks!

If he want's wireless he can just get a USB Wifi adapter from newegg for like $15 that can handle up to 300mbp/s

What @Tea1337 said, or, you can buy a PCI Express Wireless Adapter, smack it in the PC, close the box and there ya go. Price range for that would be between £15 and £25, depending on what his signal strength is... and whether he needs 5Gzh.

If he want's better latency though powerline will get him that. Though it is no faster and costs 10x more. Also what I did was tapped into the phone wiring from my ancient house and reqired it for ethernet. I only get 100Mbps bandwidth but its still better than paying for powerline and the latency is less.

does he already have a wireless router? if so it could be as cheap as one of those USB adapters. i would just get a decent wireless N one
