How old is your hdd?

I Use my knowledge as business owner and self taught technician aswell as an AI to help people. AI might be controversial but it actually works pretty well 90% of the time.

It may be faulty hdd. I have this problem once - after many writes hdd becomes slow, probably overheated. Then after some time it start to work good again. I don't use that drive anymore and it was not worth to investigate (cheap 1TB drive).

 

You can check what is going on using procmon. It shows you are there any writes when you think is idle.
