my motherboard is a Gigabyte ga-z170mx-gaming 7 and it has an op amp in it. i honestly have no idea what these things are but i know they have to do with audio. thing is i ripped it out of my motherboard not knowing what it was at the time and bent a few pins on it, does that mean i damaged it? because whenever i use my onboard audio for speakers since i have a 2.1 speaker setup, i hear nothing but static. and barely any actual audio from my pc. is this because i possibly damaged op amp or is it something else? because this didnt happen on my other motherboard and i know the speakers are functional since i tested this with my phone and another soundcard.

haha

An opamp is like an audio amplifier chip, it takes the weaker signal produced by the sound card and amplifies it

The chip must be inserted in the socket the right way otherwise you'll damage it. It's rare but it can also be damaged if you touch the pins with your hand.

The specifications page on the Gigabyte says the opamp is OPA3124, which costs around 5$ :

OPA2134PA Texas Instruments | Integrated Circuits (ICs) | DigiKey

OPA2134PAG4 Texas Instruments | Integrated Circuits (ICs) | DigiKey

Absolutely no idea what's the difference, I suspect it's just a different factory or packaging location (Taiwan vs Phillipines or something like that)

You have a notch on the chip, which you align with the silkscreen on the motherboard, see on the left side of the picture:
