Broken Space bar (mechanical)

So I got a gigabyte force k83 (cherry blue switches) last Christmas as a gift from my brother, I really love the clicking feel. Last month, I slammed the spacebar too hard out of the frustration that a program I typed for 2hrs just keeps crashing on me.Now this key cannot register, but the switch itself is still ticking. My friend suggest me to reflow the solder for that switch, but I doubt that the switch itself maybe completely broken. So now how should I proceed?

Reflow the solder. If that doesn't work your SOL since you might have lifted the pad or broke some other component.

 

You can also get another switch from a button you don't use (Print Screen maybe) and switch it for the space bar.
