I'm working on building a gaming/entertainment machine. Got a few parts from my old roommate; a Gigabyte GA-970A-D3P Mobo, an AMD FX CPU, a water block and rad CPU cooler combo, 8GB of G. Skill Ripjaws RAM, and an Radeon R7 370 graphics card. I'm not trying to be flashy or a power player. Light gaming that isn't demanding and sound production are my points. I've got a cheap monitor and am wanting some assistance with the build to utilize all my resources. Prefer to keep the cost of the remainder under $400. Anyone lend their knowledge?

I would just toss in another 8GB stick of RAM if its not pulling performance your expecting, then save up for something nice. Maybe get a better GPU around black Friday that you can use when you have enough saved up to move to the DDR4 platform.

I've averaged out my workloads, though they weren't actual useage numbers, and it should be fine. My main concern is what case, psu, and setup should I use for this hardware. I figured a SSD for the boot disk and mechanical for storage. I've sourced cases and the like but I don't know what to do with the rad for the CPU cooler. My error for not staying that
