I'm planning to buy a Asus strix rx570  4gb GPU to replace my old gt 610, is it ok to use it on i3 550?

i agree with the previous commenter, the release dates of the 2 are like 6-7 years apart, thats lightyears in todays tech. If youre on a harsh budget getting a used i5 760 (like 30 bucks) might cut you some slack for a year. Also id recommend looking into used gtx 970´s they go around 100-130 bucks and still have a good 8-10% more power then the RX570 as well as being closer to your CPUs release date which increases the chance of good compatability.

the 2600x should pair quite fine with any budget to entry enthusiasts Gpu from the last years. Just dont forget about having to work out cooling solutions, if youre gonna run very demanding games youll need to make sure theres a good airflow in the case.

make sure you quote people because I had no idea you responded to me because without quoting/using @ then no one will know unless they happen to check back at the thread

a 2600x would work fine but the 2600 is a better deal

the 970 is about the same capability as the 570 and also they both use PCIe 3.0 so compatibility will be the same

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

How many watts do I needATX 3.0 & PCIe 5.0 spec, PSU misconceptions, protections explainedgroup reg is bad

all good

the x version is better, but it's really just a 2600 thats been overclocked by AMD before you buy it. The 2600 is a better deal for its price
