Blue tooth icon

Go to solution Solved by brob,

Before I had installed the thing into the motherboard the icon didn't show, and now it doesn't show even in the customize menu thus my thought being it's slightly disconnected...

Did you check for a Bluetooth Radios entry in Device Manager?

Instead of creating another topic . . . A different issue, I've lost the bluetooth icon that should normally be in the tray (Windows 7), could the card in the computer of gotten disconnected from the motherboard and that's what it's not showing? Before I come to that conclusion perhaps I should try to readd it first, easiest way?

The bluetooth icon will show up in the system try weather you have a bluetooth device attached or not.  I disabled mine because the fewer things running at start up the better.  For me the programs/drivers that support bluetooth are atherosBtStack (BtStack, exe) and AthBtTray (AthBtTray.exe).   Is it possible you previously had a program installed and removed it or took it off of start up?

Right-click empty area of task bar, select Properties. On Taskbar tab, in Notification area click Customerize button. Go through the list you should see a Bluetooth icon labeled Windows Explorer. Change the setting to Show Icon and Notifications. Click Ok.
