Get full performance while on battery?

I got a new laptop that works great while plugged in, but when I unplug it, the performance tanks. I have set the power plan to high performance just like it would be when plugged in. In League of Legends, I go from 250-300 fps while plugged in to sometimes less than 100 when on battery. My specs are a 1660ti and 9750h in a gigbayte aero 15. Is there a setting that I am missing. I tried setting power management mode to prefer maximum performance which helped slightly, but still not enough to make the performance up to what I would expect

The thing is that manufacturers use small batteries that are not enough to power the laptop,

so they automatically downclock the CPU and GPU when on battery power.

yes, its done by design, laptops will die way too fast if it goes on normally. Theyre designed to be gamed full on when plugged in.

You can change the FPS a bit when using Nvidia GeForce Experience.
