Rock Candy xbox 360 controller Will not power on

Plastic is too thick for the usb end to make connection

So Recently we got a xbox 360 controller to use on my pc and old xbox 360 and now any time i try to use it it never powers on,it connects trough usb and i tried mutiple usb cables on it,is it the controller? We are also not able to replace it
