Say router A is a modem router combo with 500mbps bandwidth say router B is being used with router A and has 1750 bandwidth would router B be bottle necked by router A?

if they are wirelessly connected yes

if u have them connected by gigabit then no

If you're setting up the second router as a repeater it will have slow speeds, really slow speeds. Or are you saying you're connecting the two routers via rj45 cable?

Same thing, rj45, ethernet cable, cat5/5e/6. They're all the same thing (with the exception of the bandwith limitations on older cat5 cables).

Well... Kind of. RJ45 refers to the physical connector on the end of the cable. Ethernet cable is just referring to it's common use, a cable that carries ethernet frames. Cat5e/6 etc refers to the standard the cable is abiding by.

 

OP, well yes, router B is using router A as it's upstream.
