I have a A320M asrock board and a Ryzen 3 1200. I'm wanting to upgrade my CPU but not sure on the best solution. I just want to be able to continue gaming at midrange, make sure it's not gonna have issues with the swap and that's really it. I have a 1050ti currently and I have not came across a game I have not been able to play yet.  But I would like a little better performance. Any advice/ help is greatly appreciated.

depend on your budget, 1700, 2600 & 3600 are great options

remember to check cpu capability for your mobo and bios update

So right now I'd like to keep under 500 total

i looked "A320M" up on the asrock page and it seemes to support ryzen 3000 series cpus (probably with a bios update).

please be sure to check again for yourself as i am not 100% sure i got the right board.

i'd strongly advise against anything highter than a 3600 as i do not know how the board would handly any of the "larger" cpus.

that would be about 200$

if youll like a new mobo too you'll be looking at 300-350 total.

Is your CPU actively bottlenecking your system, or do you just want an upgrade for the sake of it? If it's the latter, I'd personally hold off until Black Friday when the killer deals come

Ok I'm not bottle necking currently. That's actually a great idea. I do not know why I did not think about that. I could buy more upgrades then. Maybe I'll get some more cooling fans as well. When running games my cpu sometimes hits up to 104 Farenheit.

That's an INSANELY cool CPU. There's no reason for you to get more fans since you'd only experience diminishing return and only more noise.
