Hi from the UK??

Im wondering on what would be a better first gaming/editing pc

FX 8350-gtx 970 4gb £300

Or

Fx8350-gtx 1060 3gb £320

Im new to this group any help will be appreciated ??

Probably neither considering FX is pretty much obsolete now, can you check how much would it cost you make a build around the Ryzen 3 1200 instead?

The 970 is basically a 1060 with more ram, so the performance of these PCs would be really similar overall. 

 

But as mentioned, Ryzen is where it's at these days. 

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

 

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 10 and Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

 

How many watts do I need? ATX 3.0 & PCIe 5.0 spec, PSU misconceptions, protections explained, group reg is bad
