PC won't start after being put together

ph0coos

Hey video attached explains the problem I'm having. If you aren't able to see it for any reason , I have just put together this pc , power supply seems to be giving power to the motherboard (on board led turns on when the power supply switch is turned on) but when I try to turn on the system via the power button on my case everything just flashes and clicks once. Any idea of what could be wrong or what I could have done wrong when putting everything together?

1. Try re-plugging every cable on both ends, make sure they are plugged in properly

2. re-seat every component making sure they are seated properly.

Something might  not be plugged in correctly.

Looks like there is a short somewhere. You press power and PSU goes into SCP (Short circuit protection) until you manually switch PSU off and on.

RGB lights stay on because PSU still provides standby power to the motherboard.

I would try disconnecting everything except for motherboard,CPU and GPU power and try booting like that just to see if you can get a reaction,

Main system: Ryzen 7 7800X3D / Asus ROG Strix B650E / G.Skill Trident Z5 NEO 32GB 6000Mhz / Powercolor RX 7900 XTX Red Devil/ EVGA 750W GQ / NZXT H5 Flow

Sounds like a Short maybe in the PSU from factory or not giving full power. Try removing the biggest power drawing source(GPU) and try to boot. If that doesnt help get another Powersupply and try again. Good luck! and nice looking Build :)

Double check that the power and reset cables are oriented properly going from the power and reset switches on the case to the power and reset headers on the motherboard. It's an easy thing to mix up as the cables are so small.

This was exactly what was wrong turns out a small clip on the cpu cable wasn't connected, thanks for the help!
