refresh rate help!

Hello, I hope you are doing well .

I got a monitor which can support 120 refresh rate { samsung s27d590p monitor} 

and amd radeon 7970 3gb graphic card .

 

here is the problem : what kind of a cable should I use to get 120 refresh rate on my monitor as it only has 2 hdmi and 1 rgb in slot .plz help . Really appreciate it!!

 

note : graphic card has a DVI, DISPLAY PORT, HDMI SLOTS

7970-s displayport sure has bandwith for  1080p 120Hz

HDMI - depends of version https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HDMI#Refresh_frequency_limits_for_standard_video

Dual link DVI should also be able to do 120Hz

SO if I can get dual link DVi to hdmi . will it work?

I am currently using hdmi . the monitor doesn't allow me to get 120hz

Not 100% certain, perhaps someone else can tell.

If you already have any other options than HDMI, then maybe just try them.

As far as I can tell, that's only a 60 Hz monitor.

I did not consider that to be the case,

Not 120Hz true that.

its 75hz monitor bruh. thats it problem solved
