Mantle with laptop problems installing

So, I downloaded the 14.1 drivers for my laptop, and am having problems installing.

The installer says it successfully installs, and says I need a reboot. I rebooted my computer, and it said that it was successfully installed.

I looked at my Catalyst version, and it is still at 13.12.

 

I have an A8-4500M with 7640G

 

Is my hardware supported?

It says only r cards support mantle for now

do laptops graphics cards even support mantle..didn't know that

There is a modified 14.1 driver out there on Guru3d with mantle support for GCN mobile cards, look it up.

You can get it from LeekM in Guru3d forum. It didn't support Mantle though because yours is not GCN. It will benefit from latest Frame-Pacing for laptop.
